Who operates Nestcord
Nestcord is an independently operated gaming community. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, Steam, Valve, The Isle or the game’s developers or publishers. In this policy, “Nestcord,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operators of the Nestcord community and services.
Information we handle
Depending on the features you use, we may handle:
- Discord information: your Discord user ID, server membership, username or display name, roles, command and button interactions, and identifiers for relevant channels, messages, events, raffles, tournaments or moderation records.
- Game-account information: a SteamID64 or Steam profile identifier you submit, its link to your Discord account, in-game verification codes and the information needed to confirm eligibility for player features.
- Community activity: event registrations, tournament results, virtual balances and transactions, raffle entries, bets, birthday month and day if you choose to provide them, and other settings or submissions you initiate.
- Messages and operational records: message metadata or content where a feature requires it, such as bot commands, automated community-host functions, safety review, message logging or support. The Discord server’s visible channel settings indicate who can access messages posted there.
- Surveys: answers you submit. Where a survey is marked verified-anonymous, your temporary Discord identity link is erased after submission and is not stored with your answers. A privacy-preserving value may remain to prevent duplicate responses.
- Technical information: IP address, request time, requested path, browser information, response status, authentication-session data, security events and service logs generated when you use our website or web tools.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the community; respond to commands and support requests; verify Discord, Steam and game access; provide roles and player features; administer events, tournaments, raffles, surveys and virtual balances; enforce community rules; investigate abuse or technical failures; maintain backups; and improve service reliability.
Why we handle information
We handle information when it is necessary to provide a feature you request, operate and secure the community, enforce our rules and protect users, comply with legal obligations, or because you have chosen to provide optional information. You can stop using optional features at any time.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by infrastructure and platform providers needed to run Nestcord, including Discord, hosting and security providers, and Steam or game services when you use account-linking features. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or services, or as part of investigating abuse. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy, including providing active features, maintaining transaction and event integrity, resolving disputes, enforcing rules, securing services, meeting legal obligations and maintaining limited backups. Retention periods vary by record type. Expired verification codes and temporary tokens are removed or made unusable; some operational, transaction, moderation and backup records may be retained longer where necessary. Information is deleted, anonymized or aggregated when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct or delete information associated with you, or object to or restrict certain handling where applicable. Some records may need to remain where required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, transaction integrity or the rights of others. To make a request, contact Nestcord staff privately through the community Discord. Include enough information for us to verify the request, but never post a Steam ID, verification code or other sensitive information in a public channel.
Security
We use access controls, restricted administrative tools, encrypted connections, credential separation, backups and monitoring intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Never share your Discord or Steam password with Nestcord; the bot does not need either password.
Children
Nestcord is not intended for anyone below the minimum age required to use Discord or other connected services in their country. If you believe a child has provided information contrary to those requirements, contact us so we can review it.
Website analytics, cookies and external media
With your permission, the public informational website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, traffic sources and general website usage. Google Analytics remains off until you accept analytics. When enabled, Google may process technical information such as truncated location information, device and browser information, visited pages, referral information and analytics identifiers, and may set first-party analytics cookies such as _ga. Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization and Google Signals are disabled in our configuration.
Your choice is stored in your browser. You may withdraw or change it at any time; declining removes Nestcord's accessible Google Analytics cookies and stops further analytics collection on later page loads. Private or authenticated tools may use strictly necessary session cookies. External links take you to services governed by their own policies. YouTube content is not contacted on the Content page until you choose to play a video, at which point a privacy-enhanced YouTube player may process connection and playback information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Nestcord’s features or legal obligations change. Material revisions will be published here with a new effective date. Continued use after a revision means the updated policy applies to later use.
